Have you ever wondered where to go on holiday to ensure your safety? What if you live in one of the dangerous countries or cities? Aren’t you afraid to leave your property unprotected?

We wrote this article just to show you which places are safe or dangerous.

Dangerous countries

The first country we look at is the United States.

East St. Louis, Illinois

This neighborhood is one of the most dangerous in the United States. FBI statistics say murder, robbery, rape and various petty raids are the order of the day. People are settled here by murder or personal injury in any dispute. It can only be a bad look and someone can hurt you right away.

Detroit, Michigan

In this city you can find a lot of abandoned houses, schools, hospitals or churches. This is due to the large outflow of population to other cities. These empty spaces make great places for ghettos and other gangs. In 2013, the city even declared bankruptcy, and that certainly did not help. We can encounter murders and suicides here every day.

New Orleans, Louisiana

The city seems to be one of the most sought after visitors from all over the world. However, this does not prevent gangs from violence, prostitution and drug trafficking. At night you can also see illegal car races in the middle of the streets. So it’s very dangerous.

Other dangerous places include with certainty:

Bogota, Colombia

This city is full of drugs and poverty. Every day you can encounter murders, bombings, but also kidnappings of civilians. In this way, the city gangs want to negotiate with the government and get money.

Caracas, Venezuela

Murders are the most common danger in Caracas. It is one of the distribution channels of drugs. There are also a large number of kidnappings and thefts. Many of these “dirty things” involve the police, which are corrupt.

Countries such as Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran and Pakistan are also very dangerous. This is because there are a large number of terrorist attacks, kidnappings of visitors, but also diseases.

Safe countries

On the contrary, we can look for security in a large number of states and cities around the world.

New York City

We can consider New York City as the safest American city. Here, according to the FBI, crime has decreased by 75% compared to the previous 12 years. Also, the NYPD police are the largest in the country.

Country security is determined by the Global Peace Index, which compares countries across 23 aspects. These criteria are evaluated with a mark from 1 to 5. According to the average of these marks, the final mark is determined, which determines the order of countries within this index.

According to the Global Peace Index 2020, the safest countries include:

Iceland, New Zealand, Portugal, Austria, Denmark, Canada and many more.

You will find almost no crime in Iceland. You won’t even find gangs that sell drugs here, because there is zero tolerance for possession of any drugs. But there are also a few things that can endanger you in Iceland. One of them is extreme weather warnings. The weather in Iceland is unpredictable and can change immediately. Therefore, be careful where you go.

Even though Denmark is at the forefront of safety, you can meet pickpockets. Especially in busy places such as train stations, airports and more. It is not recommended to roam the streets of Christiania alone through the night streets due to the presence of drug sales, prostitutes.

Do you already know which country you would like to see and where you will not go?
